Margaret Beyer was born in Burford in
1850, the daughter of Walter and Jane Byers who were from Scotland.
They had five children; Elmer(1837), Jane(1838), Robert(1842),
Margaret(1845), John(1848)
She married John Wesley Hainer on
December 24, 1865. They had eight children; Flora Belle(1869),
Infant(1871-1871), Sylvester(1872), Amanda(1873), Frank(1875),
Blanch(1881), Welby(1886), Morley(1888).
They appeared to have lived all their
lives in Brant County Ontario. She died suddenly of a heart attack.
According to the tombstone she was 62 years old which meant she was
born in 1850 but she is listed as 6 years old in the 1851 Brant
County, Ontario Census.
She died in Brantford, Ontario on April
4, 1912 and was buried in Northfield Cemetery, Brant County,
Ontario.
