Evaline Ash Overly
Evaline Ash Overly was born on March
24, 1842 in Indiana, her parents were Caleb and Keziah (Smith) Ash.
They had four children ; Evaline(1842), Albert (1843), Sarah (1845),
Martin (1847). Caleb died in 1849 and Keziah
remarried. In the 1850 Federal Census, Evaline is 8 years old and
living in the house of John Walter who is her stepfather. By the 1860
Federal Census, she is living in Wilson and Maria Titus household in
Miami County, Indiana.
Evaline Ash married Samuel Overly on
March 20, 1866 in Wabash, Indiana. They had seven children; George
(1868), Elda (1869), Charles (1870), Elmore (1872), Estelle(1873),
John R. (1875)Mary E (1879). In the 1870 Census, the Family was
living in Wabash, Indiana. In the 1880 Census The Overly Family is
living in Linn, Ohio. Samuel is a farmer.
Evaline Ash Overy died on June 28, 1894
in Linn, Ohio. She is buried in Wolf Creek Cemetery.
