Tombstone Tuesday - August 11, 2015 - Ford Albert Hainer

Ford Albert Hainer was the son of Charles Edward Hainer and Harriet (Hattie) Louisa Gifffin. He was born in Iowa on March 23, 1902.

This photo is of the four youngest children of Charles and Hattie Hainer likely taken around 1910.

Ford Albert married Isabelle Penn on November 4, 1926 in Davenport Iowa.  Isabella age on the marriage license was 21 years old but it is more likely that she was 19 years old. Isabella is the daughter of Charles Penn and Elsie Garrett. She was born in 1907 according to the 1910 census when we find Elsie Penn living with her sister Minnie. Both woman are young widows.

Ford Albert is found in the Iowa,  January, 1925 Census still living with his parents. Isabelle is also listed in the 1925 Iowa Census. She is living with her mother who has married  David Miller.  I see no record for Ford or Isabella in the 1930 Federal Census records. I find a Beloit Wisconsin Directory record for both Ford and Isabella in 1933. They are living at 441 Harrison Ave. Ford is listed as an employee of Cunningham, but no occupation is listed. In the US 1940 Census, they are back in Maquoketa, Iowa at 415 N. Pleasant Street. It appears that he and Isabelle had no children. Ford Albert died at the age of 44 in Iowa on August 11, 1946

I would like to say "Thanks" to the descendants of the Charles Edward Hainer family who shared these family photos.  It makes these people who I am honoring come to life.

Ford Hainer is related to me through the Canadian Albert Hainer line.
