Everett Alton Smith was born on August 16, 1904. The was the first son born to Alvin Oliver and Cora May Crites Smith. He was born in Uniondale, Indiana at the home of Cora's parents, John and Amanda (McGoogan) Crites He married Lillian Violet Losee on August 28, 1923 in Flint Michigan by Joel B. Gass. Everett died on March 8, 1978 in Detroit, Michigan of heart failure.
